Top 15: Jordan Blanchfield

On Thursday evening, Newport Harbor Field Hockey senior Jordan Blanchfield was among the top student athletes from Newport Harbor, Corona del Mar, and Sage, honored for their athletic and academic achievements, as well as community involvement, at the 54th Annual Athletic Awards Dinner. Special guest speaker, Dennis Kuhl, the Chaiman of Angels Baseball, spoke about the importance of hard work and building relationships. Thank you to the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a special event to recognize the student-athletes.

Congratulations to Jordan for this exciting honor.

You can find a full list of the thirty student athletes in yesterday’s edition of the Daily Pilot.

Sports Physicals

On Tuesday, June 2, the Athletic Department has arranged for physicals to be done by Dr. Tischler and his colleagues at Newport Orthopedic Institute. A yearly physical is a mandatory part of the athletic clearance packet that you must complete in order to participate in NHHS athletics. No appointment is necessary, just bring your completed physical forms from the Activities Forms and payment of $25 per student (Cash or Checks made payable to Newport Harbor HS Athletics) to Newport Orthopedic Institute, 22 Corporate Plaza Drive, Ste. 150, Newport Beach, at 5:30 p.m (please do not show up before 5:00 p.m.). If you have any questions, please call the NHHS Athletic Office at 949.515.6308. Click here to download the flyer.

*You may also choose to take the paperwork to a personal physician for the physical, but this must be completed by the first day of tryouts.
