Students can begin the process of submitting their documents by visiting homecampus.comand creating a profile for the 2026-27 school year. Newport Harbor Field Hockey 2026 Summer Camp & Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts
***No prior experience is necessary to participate in camp and tryouts. The majority of players entering high school have not played field hockey before. The purpose of the summer camp is to teach the sport to athletes interested in trying out. We have an excellent coach to athlete ratio to make it the best possible atmosphere for learning.

Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Try-Out Dates & Practice Start The 2026/2027 Tryouts will be held on July 29 and 30, 8:00 –10:30 a.m. for both new and returning players at Davidson Field.
*The Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts are separate from the Newport Harbor Field Hockey Boosters Summer camp. Newport Harbor Field Hockey is a competitive program and spots are limited. No player, returning or new, is guaranteed a spot on any team. Student athletes are evaluated on attributes such as skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, commitment, character, and potential.
*Practices and season for all teams begin Monday, August 10. **Varsity Team Trip dates are TBD.

JV & VARSITY Monday – Banquet Video Filming at 2:00 – 3:45 pm Wear White Uniform and Skirt, bring stick. Varsity bring sweater. Wednesday – Uniform Turn In, anytime between 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the Field Hockey office. All uniform items must be clean with stains removed (oxy clean!) as best as possible; The uniform you are returning includes plaid skirt, white home jersey, navy away jersey, and practice jersey. Please return in large ziplock baggie. You must also return defensive masks and any borrowed sticks.

PROGRAM WIDE – We have our final fundraiser this week with the Shoot-a-Thon on Friday at 3:30 p.m.! Players should be working on their 99Pledge pages. Let’s make this a successful end to our fundraising for the season! – Senior Parents! Senior Day is on Tuesday, please report to Davidson field at 3:10, the presentation will begin at 3:15 p.m. – This is the last week of scheduled practices and games for the JV team. There will still be a JV schedule on the Stix Weekly next week as they are expected to attend any varsity home playoff games and have the option to attend any away varsity playoff games. Both teams will also have a banquet video shoot day and a uniform turn in day. – All players will need to let their coaches know where they will be transferring to next for their PE credit (lacrosse, soccer, basketball, pre-track, pre-softball, yoga, etc.) by Friday, October 24. – Make sure to collect all of your photos and get them to your team photo collector or team mom for the Memory Book and Banquet Team Videos by Wednesday, October 22. The more photos we have, the better the book and videos!! The deadline for sending the memory books to print comes quickly, so we need to have time to make the books. – We will be donating $173 to The National Foundation for Cancer Research’s 2025 Play 4 the Cure campaign, thanks to contributions received at our Play 4 the Cure games!
