2021/2022 Teams Posted

The 2021/2022 Newport Harbor Field Hockey Teams have been posted to the Teams Page.

“Thank you to all who participated in the summer camp and tryouts. It was great to be back out on the field after missing our summer camp and season last year due to Covid. The Newport Harbor Field Hockey coaching staff had to make difficult decisions as we considered each athlete’s skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, and 4-year potential. It was especially difficult this year with the move to two teams. While we look forward to the upcoming season, we regret having to cut any player, or keep any player from advancing to another team, and recognize the dedication and commitment that she has shown by participating in the summer camp and tryouts. We hope that this disappointment does not stop athletes from pursuing the many other activities and programs offered at Newport Harbor High School. We also invite those who did not get placed onto a team to tryout next year. If you have any questions or would like an assessment of current strengths and areas for improvement, please feel free to contact us at newportharborfieldhockey@gmail.com. Thank you again for your participation and understanding.” – The Newport Harbor Field Hockey Coaching Staff

2021 Summer Camp Registration is now open!

***No prior experience is necessary to participate in camp and tryouts. The majority of players entering high school have not played field hockey before. The purpose of the summer camp is to teach the sport to athletes interested in trying out. We have an excellent coach to athlete ratio to make it the best possible atmosphere for learning.
