Sports Physicals
On Tuesday, June 2, the Athletic Department has arranged for physicals to be done by Dr. Tischler and his colleagues at Newport Orthopedic Institute. A yearly physical is a mandatory part of the athletic clearance packet that you must complete in order to participate in NHHS athletics. No appointment is necessary, just bring your completed physical forms from the Activities Forms and payment of $25 per student (Cash or Checks made payable to Newport Harbor HS Athletics) to Newport Orthopedic Institute, 22 Corporate Plaza Drive, Ste. 150, Newport Beach, at 5:30 p.m (please do not show up before 5:00 p.m.). If you have any questions, please call the NHHS Athletic Office at 949.515.6308. Click here to download the flyer.
*You may also choose to take the paperwork to a personal physician for the physical, but this must be completed by the first day of tryouts.
Welcome Baby Jane!
Congratulations to Coach Kerrie Rowe and her husband Ryan on the arrival of their sweet baby girl, Jane Elizabeth Rowe!
Janie was born on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 7 lbs, 11 oz and 19 inches long. We can’t wait to get her on the field hockey field!
Coach Kerrie is Overdue!
We have had lots of calls, texts, and emails checking on Coach Kerrie Rowe’s sweet little baby girl! Kerrie’s due date was March 28, but alas, no baby yet! We will be sure to post an announcement when she arrives. Have a great Spring Break!
NHFH Supporting Others
Today some of our Newport Harbor Field Hockey players traveled to Angels Stadium to cheer on Newport Harbor Varsity Baseball against Marina High School at Angel’s Stadium. Go Newport!
Congrats Valedictorians!
Congratulations to Jordan Blanchfield, Erika Nilsson, and Daniela Vazquez for their achievement in being named 2015 Valedictorian Scholars. As the Newport Harbor Administration said, “these students have worked tirelessly over the last 3 and a half years and truly embody what it means to be a Newport Harbor Sailor.”

Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts
August 17 – 19
*The Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts are separate from the Newport Harbor Field Hockey Summer Camp. Newport Harbor Field Hockey is a competitive program and spots are limited. No player, returning or new, is guaranteed a spot on any team. Student athletes are evaluated on attributes such as skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, commitment, character, and potential.
