The 2017 Field Hockey season is here! This is the first Stix Weekly post of the season. Each week there will be a post with everything you’ll need to know for the upcoming week and near future (as best as we can predict). There will be a ‘Program Wide’ section as well as individual team sections. These are our best laid plans for the week, so please be aware that information is always subject to change.

Program Wide
– Field Hockey Kickoff Night is Thursday, August 17, 5:30 p.m. at NHHS Davidson Field for parents and players to attend. Please see email sent on 8/10 for information on player registration.
– Uniforms distribution will be on Wednesday, August 23.
– Save the Date! ‘Ding Dong Dollars’ Fundraiser is Saturday, August 26, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. More information coming soon.
– Save the Date! Our Annual Parent Party is Sunday, September 10, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. More information coming soon.

Varsity
Monday – Practice at 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. at Davidson Field. Meet at Harper parking lot at 12:00 p.m. to depart for team trip.
Tuesday – Team Trip.
Wednesday – Arrive back from team trip at 12:00 p.m.

This is the last Stix Weekly – what an amazing season! Thank you for your incredible support, participation, and for ‘going with the flow’ over the past few months.

PROGRAM WIDE
– The Banquet Invitation will be posted online very soon, but be sure to save the date: Tuesday, November 15 at 6:00 p.m.

VARSITY
Monday – Banquet Video Day at 2:15 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Student Center in white uniform with sweaters.
Wednesday – Program Day and Uniform Turn In, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. at Harper. Uniform & Practice Pennie must be washed and clean to receive full deposit. You must be there for the entire time unless you are attending soccer tryouts.

JUNIOR VARSITY

PROGRAM WIDE
– JV and F/S players must report to their coach immediately (if they haven’t already) about where they are headed for the second half of the semester’s PE credit.
– LAST CALL! Make sure to collect all of your photos and get them to your team photo collector or team mom for the Memory Book and Banquet Team Videos.

PROGRAM WIDE
– This is the last week of scheduled games and practices for the Frosh/Soph & JV teams. There will still be some sort of a schedule on the Stix Weekly for the next two weeks for both teams since they will still be enrolled in field hockey. They will attend any home varsity playoff games; they have the option to attend any away varsity playoff games; they will also have a banquet video shoot day and a uniform turn in day. Attendance will be taken and noted.
– All players will need to let their coach know where they will be transferring to next for their PE credit (lacrosse, soccer, pre-track, pre-softball, yoga, etc.) on Friday, October 21. We will not be offering post season field hockey this year due to the construction. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to offer it again next year.
– Make sure to collect all of your photos and get them to your team photo collector or team mom for the Memory Book and Banquet Team Videos by Sunday, October 23. The more photos we have, the better the book and videos!!
– Senior Parents! Senior Day is on Thursday, please report to the HBHS field at 3:00, the presentation will begin at 3:05 p.m.

– Our ‘Play for the Cure’ games were a huge success! Thank you to Julie Tami, Erin, Sheree, Lori and Melissa for all of your help. *Frosh/Soph’s ‘Play for the Cure’ game will be on October 13.
– Varsity & JV Players: Please return your clean pink socks from the Play for the Cure games to Amanda on Monday at practice. Frosh/Soph Players: You will get your socks on Monday for Thursday’s ‘Play for the Cure’ game.
