*The Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts are separate from the Newport Harbor Field Hockey Summer Camp. Newport Harbor Field Hockey is a competitive program and spots are limited. No player, returning or new, is guaranteed a spot on any team. Student athletes are evaluated on attributes such as skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, commitment, character, and potential.

Newport Harbor Field Hockey Junior High Summer Camp
For Grades 6, 7 & 8 in the 2014-2015 school year

Post-season field hockey (and anyone else is welcome) is heading to a YAS class to workout and celebrate the end of finals week. We will be going tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 29) to the 11:15 a.m. YAS class which is around 25 minutes of spin and 25 minutes of yoga.
You must bring:
– Yoga Mat (if you own one)
– A small towel
– Water
– Money for class ($10 if it is your first time, or $19 with student ID)

Tomorrow, Thursday, November 12, Newport Harbor and Edison Field Hockey will be playing in a showcase game at Costa Mesa High School. The game is intended to bring excitement about field hockey to Costa Mesa High School to explore the option or opportunity to expand the sport. The game will begin at around 3:00 p.m. on the field by the blacktop. Post-season field hockey players will make up the team and are to be at the field at 2:30 p.m. for a very quick warm up, but if any players would like to join in, contact Coach Amanda Boyer today. Uniforms will be handed out at the field so make sure to wear spandex and a top you can switch.
We are excited to see everyone at the 2014 Newport Harbor Field Hockey Banquet on Tuesday night (11/18) at 6:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s in the Student Center.
Please make sure to RSVP by this Thursday (11/12) to ncvaughan@yahoo.com so that we can make arrangements for the food. If you received banquet tickets with a Finish Strong Donation, please still be sure to RSVP.
