Newport Harbor 1, Bonita 1
LA VERNE – Mckenzie Porteous scored a second-half goal to erase a 1-0 deficit for the visiting Sailors in the nonleague game Tuesday.
Callie Kennedy made four saves in the first half and Sarah Sheldon made three in the second half for the Sailors.
Newport Harbor plays host to Chaminade in nonleague play on Thursday at 3:15 p.m. at Huntington Beach High.

The Newport Harbor JV Field Hockey Sailors defeated the Bearcats 3-0 with all three goals scored by sophomore Kate Davison. Makenzie Trigo and Sadie Pitchess recorded assists. Goalkeeper Payton Steiner had one save.

The NHHS Athletic Office and the NMUSD Transportation are working to schedule buses to get the girls to Bonita Creek for practices, however the timing is uncertain.
