“Thank you to all who participated in our summer camp and tryouts. This year marked the largest number of new and returning players in the program’s history, therefore the selection process was very difficult as there are only a limited number of spots between the three teams. The coaching staff and I had to make some tough decisions as we considered each athlete’s skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, and potential. While we look forward to the 2010-2011 season, we regret having to cut any player and recognize the dedication and commitment that she has shown by participating in the summer camp. We hope that this disappointment does not stop athletes from pursuing the many other activities and programs offered at Newport Harbor.<\/p>\n
