The Newport Harbor Field Hockey program is very competitive. The  coaching staff had to make some very difficult decisions as we considered  each athlete\u2019s skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression,  coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, and 4-year potential. While we look  forward to the 2014-2015 season, we regret having to cut any player, or keep any player from advancing to another team, and  recognize the dedication and commitment that she has shown by  participating in the summer camp. We hope that this disappointment does  not stop athletes from pursuing the many other activities and programs  offered at Newport Harbor High School. We also invite those who did not  get placed onto a team to tryout next year.
