Congratulations and welcome to all of the new and returning field hockey players and families! The 2013 season will be here before we know it so we would like to give you some information regarding dates, field hockey gear, uniforms, website, practice times, etc.<\/p>\n

Save the Date | Car Wash Fundraiser!<\/strong>
\nSaturday, September 21 at St. Andrew\u2019s from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 12:30 p.m. More information to come.<\/p>\n

All players must have:<\/strong>
\n– navy blue socks and white socks to fit over shin guards
\n– navy blue spandex shorts
\n– colored mouth guard (it may not be clear or white)
\n– field hockey regulation shin guards (These can be purchased online. A lot of returning players have either the STX Contour shin guards (be sure to get Navy Blue or White \u2013 Go Newport!) at Sports Authority<\/a> or STX Ricochet shin guards at Longstreth<\/a>.)
\n– field hockey protective eyewear (Available for rent or purchase in the bin. For those NHFH players who also play LAX, your LAX goggles work for Field Hockey.)<\/p>\n

EMAIL UPDATES<\/strong>
\nWe highly recommend that you sign up to receive email updates<\/strong> for the website. Click here<\/a> or click the link \u2018email updates\u2019 on the right side of the website and sign up. You must then respond to an email it automatically sends to verify your email address, and then you will be signed up and ready to go. If you need any help or have any questions regarding this email us at newportharborfieldhockey@gmail.com<\/a>. This is important as we will be using the website for all communication this season.<\/p>\n

PARENTS
\nImportant Parent Meeting | Save the Date | Monday, August 26, 2013<\/strong>
\nThere will be a parent meeting held in the Student Center at St. Andrew\u2019s at 6:30 p.m. This will be a chance to meet the coaching staff, sign up for team dinners, submit contributions, purchase merchandise, pre-order team and individual photos, meet other parents, and more! Registration forms and more information to come.<\/p>\n

NHFH Parent Party | Save the Date | Friday, September 6, 2013<\/strong>
\nThe Newport Harbor Field Hockey Parent Party will be held on Friday night, September 7. More information to come.<\/p>\n

FROSH\/SOPH
\n<\/strong>– Practice begins on Monday, August 26 at 2:30 <\/span>– 4:30 p.m.
\n– The fall schedule is online, be aware that dates and times are subject to change.
\n– Uniforms will be passed out at practice on Thursday, August 29.<\/p>\n

JUNIOR VARSITY<\/strong>
\n– Practice begins on Monday, August 19 at 3:00 p.m. Mondays – Wednesdays will be at 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays will be at 3:30 – 5:30.
\n– The fall schedule is posted on the website.
\n– Uniforms will be passed out at practice on Thursday, August 29.<\/p>\n

VARSITY
\n<\/strong>– Team Trip and Practices: Meet at Harper on Sunday, August 18 at 1:00 p.m. to leave for camping at San Clemente State Beach. Packing List will be texted to you. We will be having morning conditioning and practice while on the trip. We will return on Tuesday morning.
\n– Regular practice begins on Tuesday, August 20, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.; Regular Morning Conditioning begins on Wednesday, August 21, 8:00 \u2013 9:00 a.m.
