On June 8, an alum parent, Julie Wolfe &#8211; mom to Zoie Wolfe (Class of 2010), was diagnosed with Luekemia. Julie is an avid Newport Harbor Field Hockey fan and gave so much to the program. We found out that there is a big need for people to donate blood. Unfortunately we cannot hold a blood drive because in order for the blood donation to go directly to Julie, they must be done at Hoag Hospital. SO we are inviting everyone to donate blood at Hoag.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in donating, please call Hoag Blood Donor Services at 949.764.5621 to schedule an  appointment. The Blood Donor Center is at 510 Superior Avenue, Suite 130. Julie  specifically needs O-positive or O-negative blood, but any other blood  types will be donated to the blood bank in her name. We appreciate any help with this, so if you know anyone else who would be interested in donating, please forward them this information.<\/p>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Julie has been through two rounds of chemotherapy and has now returned home to enjoy summer until she begins the next stage of treatment.
