Camp starts in a month and a half! Make sure to get your paperwork mailed in and please pass the word along about our Junior High Camp.

More information can be found on the Summer page of the website. We have also posted the tentative schedule for Fall 2016 (*remember, it is always subject to change!) although the Frosh/Soph schedule is not posted yet.

For Grades 9 – 12 in the 2016-2017 school year

Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts
August 15 – 17
*The Newport Harbor High School Field Hockey Tryouts are separate from the Newport Harbor Field Hockey Summer Camp. Newport Harbor Field Hockey is a competitive program and spots are limited. No player, returning or new, is guaranteed a spot on any team. Student athletes are evaluated on attributes such as skill, speed, stamina, strength, progression, coach-ability, work ethic, attitude, commitment, character, and potential.

Summer Camp at UC Berkeley

Last summer a number of players traveled to Stanford University to participate in the Stanford Field Hockey Summer Camp. This year, we are planning to send a group to University of California, Berkeley for their camp on July 7 – 10.

The Field Hockey Camp at UC Berkeley provides a wonderful chance for you to visit California and see what the area has to offer while participating in a great camp designed to help you reach the next level. Players of all ability levels ages 10-18 are welcome to attend. Cal’s coaching staff and current players help you develop your basic skills as well as teach you the latest skills and tactics to allow you to compete at the highest level. Participants stay in the dorms and eat meals together on campus at UC Berkeley.

The Newport Harbor Field Hockey Boosters is working out a way to help lower the cost of the camp; the amount discounted will depend on how high the interest level is.
