Monday – Practice at 1:45 – 4:00 p.m. at Davidson Field. Team Dinner hosted by the Cockrell family, location TBA.
Tuesday – Home game at 6:30 p.m. vs. Huntington Beach. Be at the field at 5:15 p.m. ready to cheer on JV and warm up.
Wednesday – Practice at 1:45 – 4:00 p.m. at Davidson Field.
Thursday – Practice at 5:45 – 8:00 p.m. at Davidson Field.
Friday – Away Game at 3:15 p.m. at Edison High School. Bus departs at 1:45 p.m.

JUNIOR VARSITY

Friday – Practice at 1:45 – 3:45 p.m. at Davidson Field.
Saturday – University Tournament in San Diego (6949 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92122). Bus departs at 6:30 a.m. from NHHS. Game times are at 9:05-9:35; 11:25-11:55; and 1:10-1:40 with the possibility of games at 3:40, 4:50, 5:25, and/or 6:10 depending on how the team places in their pool.

– Picture Day is this Thursday! Players are to wear white uniforms and kilts (no shinguards/socks). The Varsity team wears their sweaters as well. All three teams will meet at 2:00 p.m. at Marina Park (1600 W Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach). Purchasing photos is completely optional. Click here for more information.

– Thank you to the Robinson Family and many parent volunteers for throwing such a fun Parent Party tonight!
– Make Up Ding Dong Dollars will be next Monday, September 17 following the team dinners for all three teams.

– We are in need of a parent volunteer to learn how to make the senior memory sticks from an alumni parent. Please contact newportharborfieldhockey@gmail.com if you are interested. There are no expenses involved, just some time spent sanding and painting. These are a very special memento for the girls!

Game Recap

Newport Harbor Varsity Field Hockey faced Bonita at home on Tuesday. Chanse Hill scored in the first half with an assist from Chloe Bagiu. The Bearcats tied up the game in the second half for a 1-1 final score. The Sailors travel to Glendora on Thursday.

Newport Harbor JV Field Hockey beat Bonita 1-0 with the lone goal score by Zoe Bixby. Defense certainly worked hard to keep the goal out of the cage for the shutout!


 

Newport Harbor Frosh/Soph Field Hockey fell 0-3 to Bonita.

– Our Annual Parent Party is next Sunday, September 9 at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The invitation will be emailed, please make sure to RSVP so that we have an accurate head count.
– Make sure to check the schedule periodically for updates. There have been quite a few updates made on the schedules and may be others in the future, so if you already put the entire season into your calendar – check those updates!
