Alumni Visit

Coach Amanda Boyer traveled to UCSD on Sunday to watch the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Club Field Hockey Team play against host University of California, San Diego Club Field Hockey Team. Newport Harbor Field Hockey alumni players Courtney McIntosh, Sophie Evans, and Caroline Gels play for the Mustangs and Erika Nilsson plays for the Tritons.

Banquet 2015

The 2015 Newport Harbor Field Hockey Banquet was a huge success! It was a fabulous celebration of the 2015-2016 season.

Informational Recruiting Info Session

An Edison field hockey alum now plays at Goucher College in Maryland and her coach, Megan Williams, will be doing a ‘Recruiting 101’ informational session in Huntington Beach on Tuesday, November 24, 7:00 p.m. at the Edison Community Center. She will be talking about how to speak with college coaches, choosing a program that is right for you, the differences between divisions, and recruiting timelines.

Stix Weekly

This is the last Stix Weekly – the season sure did fly by! Thank you for your incredible support and participation over the past few months.

PROGRAM WIDE
– We will be offering post season field hockey through the end of the semester. Post Season will be Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:30 – 5:00 p.m. Field location is TBA. Post Season will begin on Monday, November 9.
– Make sure to get all photos to your team photography collector or team mom for the Memory Book and Banquet Team Videos by Tuesday 11/3 at the latest. The memory books are right away to make sure they are printed and delivered by the banquet. Thank you for your help in making them a great memento!
– The Banquet Invitation will be posted online very soon, but be sure to save the date: Thursday, November 19!

VARSITY
Tuesday – Banquet Video Day at 2:00 p.m. at Harper in white uniform with sweaters.
Wednesday – Picture Day at 2:30 p.m. at the Balboa Pier. Click here for the Picture Day Order Form. Wear white uniform and sweater. We will then go to Estancia to deliver pizza to football as a thank you.
Monday (11/9) – Program Day and Uniform Turn In, 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at Harper. Uniform & Practice Pennie must be washed and clean to receive full deposit. You must be there for the entire time unless you are attending soccer tryouts.

JUNIOR VARSITY
Tuesday – Banquet Video Day at 2:30 p.m. at Harper in white uniform.

TOC: 3rd Place

Newport Harbor Varsity Field Hockey (23-3-3) won third place in the Tournament of Champions on Saturday at Harvard Westlake against Bonita High School. The Sailors took a corner at the end of the first half and after a few shots and rebounds, junior Jackie Singer scored for a 1-0 lead over the Bearcats.

Edison beat Huntington Beach 1-0 in overtime to win the championship game.

All tournament team honors have not been announced yet.
